In 2016, Concise was commissioned by CPSL Mind to research the feasibility of including a fundraising channel within the charity. Concise spent 5 days working with trustees, key stakeholders and staff to explore the fundraising potential of the organisation. We reviewed fundraising trends, the general wealth of the area, as well as potential local corporate partnerships and charitable trust opportunities. Concise then drafted an extensive feasibility report and outlined next steps for the charity if they wished to pursue new funding streams. The charity was so impressed with the work, they asked Concise to work with them 2 days a week to implement the recommendations provided.
Four years later and Concise has established several new funding channels including trust, corporate, community and individual giving. Starting from a zero point, the local mental health charity now generates £250,000 a year in fundraising income (10:1 ROI). Concise has supported them in building new charitable trusts relationships to support key projects including their perinatal service, helping mums who are struggling with their mental health.
Concise has also been instrumental in building over 30 successful corporate partnerships for the charity. One partnership has generated over £280,000 in income and won several awards including Corporate Partnership of the Year (Institute of Fundraising – East Anglian Region) and Corporate Community Local Involvement Award (Charity Times Awards).
We worked closely with CPSL Mind to build their fundraising income to the point where they were ready to invest in an in-house Community Fundraiser. Again we supported them to develop the role and select the right candidate. We are currently in the process of mentoring/training their new fundraiser to ensure continued strong fundraising growth.
Concise has greatly enjoyed working with CPSL Mind. Their values as an organisation and the incredibly important and life changing work they deliver has been something we have been extremely proud to be associated with.
